A good art museum provides a good smattering of contrast. Otherwise it's just a history museum. Shame.

Microsoft's Building 34 cafeteria has a huge Sol Lewitt work that spans one full wall. It is really impressive and often is a backdrop to Steve, Bill, and others doing employee meetings. Sorry to hear that he's passed.

missing him already. lewitt gave the genius writer kathy acker money when she was beginning to publish her work. plus he made awesome art. my fave lewitt, the one that most stands out in my mind, is "10,000 lines about 5 inches long." there's a wall-sized version of this in which the lines are "about 10 inches long, covering the wall evenly," however the one i'm familiar with is a single piece of paper with what appears to be a nearly even coating of graphite or ink.
