Sanjaya’s Big Mo

It looks like I’m not the only editor/perv that finds the American Idol inexplicably alluring. (Actually I find his allure is entirely explicable.) The editors of Maxim Magazine—the magazine for straight boys that lack Internet connections but still require jerk-off material—has named Sanjaya their “Girl of the Day.”

You’ve no one but the Devil’s lawyer to blame for this androgynous American Idol stowaway, who, despite being detested by the judges, somehow remains in the hunt for the show’s coveted prize as this year’s top 40 footnote…

Yeah, somehow Sanjaya remains in the hunt, week after torturous week. Somehow.

Ah, no. Friend sent a link, thought I might be interested. Maybe I should start, though.

Why not just join the Facebook groups for Sanyaya instead?

The photo on the right kind of reminds me of Kelly Clarkson.

I read a Maxim for the first time a week ago and was amazed at the Neanderthal attitude of the articles. In particular there was one about how terrible it was when a woman 'pretends' to be interested in sports, drinking, and strippers.

The article went on to really demonize women who didn't fit into the stereotype. Not to get on a Maxim bash but I always thought women were overreacting to oppose girlie mags, but that issue was full of sexism and homophobia.

Maxim actually used to be awesome, with helpful construction projects and stuff, but now its just Playboy with more clothes and less free thought.

Sanjaya is not BAD. People are being jerks, and this poor kid can't help being chosen over and over again. He doesn't deserve the wrath he's been facing. Gina, Haley, Chris, all the others have deserved to be kicked off as well, maybe more so in Haley's case.

there is no question as to how he remains. It is Howard Stern, along with vote for the worst, that keeps him in. I love it. This movement is for all those who detest AI and want to discredit it by making them crown the oddest, most tone deaf singer in history... Keep voting! I'll post the # to call to vote in the comment section as soon as I know what it is...

I don't find the attraction of either Sanjaya or Maxim to be explicable, myself. Well, in theory, I guess, among people I don't know or particularly like.

Oh my gosh, teen pop fans going gaga over a pretty boy with less than outstanding talent? It's a shocker!

Actually, it's business as usual. Ever heard of Fabian? Frankie Avalon? Leif Garrett? Bobby Sherman? David Cassidy? Sean Cassidy?
