Slog - Comments on Pop Con

I wanted to go to the EMP Pop Conference this weekend, but I didn't get a chance. I ran into Eric Grandy on the way to work this morning, and when I asked him if I had missed anything, he went on excitedly for the rest of our stroll, beaming and pondering over the stuff he saw. In particular, he had a lot to say about a presentation by an editor of Pitchfork, who trashed navel-gazing old-school music critics. Grandy promises he'll have a Line Out write up later in the day....

Stay in your department Feit. Grandy does just fine, and he doesn't post News Cons that your folks like to pull.

Hey, while I'm feeding your egotistical fucked up head, Watch KCTS from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm on Wednesday, April 25. That 90 minutes will actually save you time because you’ll never watch television news again, or possibly never believe The Stranger - not even on PBS.
But even they cowered from titling the show appropriately; It could have been called "Buying the Paul Wolfowitz,/b> War"

Amy Philips, the news editor -- not "the editor" -- of Pitchfork did not "trash" "navel gazing" "old school" rock critics.

She was brave enough to stand up and and tell a lot of people what they didn't want to hear about the habits of much of the modern music criticism demographic. About time.

I'm curious to hear Eric's story. But thanks for the blurry worded plug, Josh. You rock.
