Holy shit! "The Paul Lynde Halloween Special!" How have I lived the last 30 years without having seen that bitter old queen's halloween special? I'm completely speechless.

"Detroit Rock City" by Kiss.

Voted #6 "Best Metal Song" by VH1. (Which will forever sound to me like damning with faint praise.)

Was the "A"-side of a 45rpm 7" single that had "Beth" as the "B"-side. Most radio stations flipped it over and gave Kiss their biggest hit. Strange how KISS fans will forgive them for "Beth" and for taking off their make-up when Vinnie Vincent was in the group, but not for going disco.

Sorry, but "I Was Made For Loving You" sounds even better on a spring day...and it doesn't make me think about dying in a car crash on my way to a KISS concert.

EXCELLENT video find! Did Sid & Marty Krofft have something to do with this?

Oh, thank god on that condo conversion bill. Josh, your Oly coverage has been awesome. Thank you!

So, back to KISS. I think it's bizarre that despite all of their get-up, their music was more rock than metal and perhaps even more pop than anyone would admit. (And yes, Beth made me cry.)
