On April 16, 1775 (Easter Sunday), Paul Revere took a ride out of Boston to Lexington to tell John Hancock and Sam Adams (in hiding there) that the British would soon be sending troops to the town to arrest them and to seize military stores. Revere advised that minutemen should be moved in. When he got back to Boston, he set up a plan so lantern signals would alert the countryside to the Red Coats’ route—by land or by sea. The colonists were ready.

Bush would be a modern Red Coat.

unrelated request:

Could a Slog editor provide a brief justification for each member of its friends and enemies lists? I need to get caught up.

I'm not really able to just hate and love indiscriminately; even when nudged to do so by my Slog leadership.

I'm old school - I need to first understand my motivations.

For example:
Robin Williams is an enemy of slog because:
a) he is an often mediocre actor in mediocre movies? Or
b) Robin runs an 'I hate you guys even more' blog?

3

Sean,
Let's start with this: Slog editor?

4

You should update this to note the Virginia Tech shootings.

5

Josh, fair point.

I'll refine my request: to the person(s) specifically managing that friend/enemy list, and/or any self-designated Slog historian willing to assemble an answer to my query.

You guys are also welcome to just fake it for me. I'll play along.

I just gotta know why Robin Williams is out to get us. I've always been suspicious of that guy. nanoo nanoo?

6

Yo Josh- You forgot this one. Im sure ECB would appreciate to know that us guys do as much as women in terms of house work.

7

Did this get in over the weekend or before? I don't remember seeing anything on the slog, but I could be wrong.

@1 - true. As would all the Red Bushies.

As a former Clinton donor (think I met him about 4 times, her about 2 times), I'll be shifting to Obama. Haven't given him any money yet, so I'll be a new donor.

@6 - WTF?

9

@6,

That study shows that men do as much total work as women. Women still do more housework.

I like the snippit of history in italics. Thanks.
