Matt Dillon’s the Shit, Everybody Knows It

Matt Dillon of Sitka & Spruce (prescient, fervent, very-first-ever review by yours truly here) has been named one of Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs (also of local note: Gabriel Rucker of Portland’s Le Pigeon). Matt is making lunch at Sitka & Spruce RIGHT NOW. He just got back from New York (photo session, etc.); he sounds sleepy but happy. They have oysters.

Shit... this guy is amazing. His recent work in "Something About Mary", "Crash" and "Factotum" is simply remarkable. NOW I learn that he is a chef! That rocks!
I'm going to rent the movie "Tex" tonight!

Fine. But who wants to spend $50 to eat in a strip mall?

Jesus, all's everyone is saying is Sitka & Spruce. I didn't know where it was at first but then again I didn't think it would be a tiny place with like, what, 5 tables? You gotta spend fifty bucks in a tiny place, Doug. His place is like a Flex Car version of Personal Chef.
