TV
It’s On TV Tonight!
• It’s “Country Night” on American Idol (YEEEEEE-HAW! HOW EMBARRASSING!) and Sanjaya will reportedly be singing “Boot-Scootin’ Boogie.” This I gotta see.
• Remember that episode of The Shield (FX, 10 pm) when Vic mashed that drug dealer’s face against the burner on a stove? Tonight’s episode is gorier than that.
• According to USA Today, our fave teen detective Veronica Mars has already been cancelled. BOOOOOO!!!
• Want to stare into the eyes of The Office’s Jim Halpert all… day… long? Buy this painting of him for only $8.50! (I’m going to pretend we’re playing a prank on Dwight! Sighhhhhh……..)

To everyone who never bothered to watch 'Veronica Mars': I hate you so much right now. Second. Best. Show. Ever. ('Arrested Development' is the best show ever, obviously.)
Posted by Jessica | April 17, 2007 4:40 PMNot Veronica Mars!!!
Noooooooooooo!!!!!
We'll always have the DVDs...
Posted by Original Andrew | April 17, 2007 4:45 PMSave your hate for the 5,000 people around the country who are Nielsen families.
It's pretty sad that a show watched by 5 million people is considered a failure.
Posted by elswinger | April 17, 2007 4:51 PMNOooooo!!!
Not V-Mars. Say it isn't so.
Although I do think that the crime of the episode became pretty predictable during the last season. And in the shows final episode from last season I figured out the murderer right from the beginning. It's pretty much always the one suspect that she is not concentrating on.
Posted by Simon | April 17, 2007 4:54 PMNooooooooooooooo they be stealin mah Veronica Mars!
Posted by David | April 17, 2007 5:00 PMCancelled??? ARRRRGH! I loved that show. Yeah, it was eventually predictable, but so's Law and Order and I have my eyes glued to that show all the time.
I love how Veronica is a beautiful blond cutie that everyone hates (not because of her hair, but because of her investigatory ways) yet everyone talks to her anyway. It's a bizarre dynamic that totally works. Plus, her dad rocks.
Posted by I [heart] Veronica Mars | April 17, 2007 5:09 PMIs that one of those shows where you had to watch a whole season or two to get into it? Because I really wasn't feelin' it, but didn't give it much of a chance.

I'll look for ya balooning over Everest...with john curley.
This is sort of a TV related question about the "enemies of slog" list.
Call me uninformed, but what did Robin Williams do to get on that list?
BTW, I have no opinion either way about Williams.
Damn, I was pretty intrigued by the Agent Veronica Mars reboot that was being pitched for season 4...
