Any names that are coopted are false impressions. I feel stupid for saying that, because for the most part we assume pretty much that slog readers follow blog etiquette.

Megan's enthusiasm has kickstarted us to stridently proceed with our plans for a neorock fanzine tour. In the next month we will be focusing our efforts toward booking summer dates in Europe.

Thanks to the Stranger for enabling this free speech forum for alot of us Seattlites.

We doubt that the Vatican will play a part in our tour. We don't care all that much. We follow laws, wherever the chips may fall. However, we DO LIVE outside the constructs of the powers that be. In fact, what the Vatican is saying resonates just as a weird opinion to us, sort of like the sad opinions and topics by the Stranger NEWSTEAM.

It's been fun. Reading is one our greatest joys, and we may pop in to look the slog over, but we've made a casual commitment to stay away from its addictive qualities.

Just because Dan Savage decides to post a news story on the Vatican's condemnation of homosexuality (as questionable as it may be), that doesn't mean that these are the only issues that Benedict and Co. are getting behind. The abortion/gay Vatican opinions are in the news more often simply because they're more controversial and less common: everyone and his mom has already taken a turn at criticizing Bush and Iraq.
