What is it with some men and their obsession with blood.

I'm confused. Does that water report mean Water/Sewage, or just Water? Because our bimonthly WS bill is about $150-200, and it's the sewage that costs the most.

Of course, we have a really wasteful toilet, but what can you do if you rent?

@2

I contest that there are just as many blood-oriented goth women as men.

And yet, so many men are absolutely terrified of menstrual blood. Can't you guys make up your minds?

See my classic from the early seventies, Cries and Whispers. A little broken glass can go a long way.

What's really fucked up about that survey isn't Seattle's price for water but Phoenix's. Although in a desert they have the second lowest charge in the survey. Luckily, their water importation has been largely paid for by us, the US taxpayer.

I'd be more interested to see exactly what the real costs of producing water for any particular city is. The average consumer charge only shows part of the story.

The oddest thing about the hymenoplasty thing is that it seems for some women it's starting again... having the hymen resewn makes them feel like they haven't lost their virginity in the first place.

If it wasn't for the whole weird headgames thing, I'd say there was a market for some sort of hymen-simulation device, especially given the cost of the surgery.

I'd like to know why my water bill payments go to Texas.

I got to thinking of that song, what was it, the same name as a video game?

"No, nothing's here, I close my eyes
it's on the other side

And what I've worked so hard to gain
I'd gladly give away
'cause I don't need this
I don't need it
I need more

but I don't need this
I don't need it
I need more
no, I don't need this
too good to be true
too good to ignore
I don't need this
I need so much more
IT'S TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR"

New Rule: If you do not want your religon to be called "medevil" and "barbaric" stop the obsession over blood. And beheadings.

Thanks Erica. My latest bill was almost $80 even though I don't use anymore water than when the bill was $25. It's probably due to the fact I live alone in a single bedroom apartment while the apartments to my left and right and above me are 2-3 bedroom apartments.

since i pour a lot of water on my plants, and drink a lot, too, why are my sewage rates based on how much water comes OUT of the spigots - why not measure that flowing INTO the sewer, too?

@ 12: Some of the women quoted weren't Muslim. Yes, they were influenced by current Muslim cultural values, but they weren't "practicing Muslims". Besides, much of what is commonly said to be a demand or quote from the Qur'an or Islam is really just a cultural or societal interpretation.

Also, Romans in the 1st Century C.E. thought that Christianity was barbaric because of the eating and drinking of Christ's flesh and blood as the Eucharist.

Lastly: the U.S. military and government may not distribute footage of their atrocities, but that doesn't mean that they're not commiting murders, and it doesn't mean that they're not terrorists.

@no.3: You have to pay a water bill even though you rent? What's up with that....all I have to pay is electric.
