well, can't we have a break from thinking about how bad cars are to enjoy ourselves for a few seconds? if you don't like it, i hear women have no sexual orientation, so i guess you could just change us out for a lover that doesn't ejaculate and keeps her mental state throughout orgasm...
I know that you got your title from your link, and I know that they were just trying to be funny, but this research in no way implies that brain activity is "turned off" in men during ejaculation. It would be accurate to say that metabolism is modulated up in certain areas and down in others, but these PET data can't even tell us basic info about the cell types that are involved. PET and fMRI studies always seem to get play in the popular press, but their usefulness is fairly narrow. And they always seem to be presented in a way that seems to support the "we only use 10% of our brains" myth.

The world would be a better place if men's orgasms were half as long and as good as women's.
