Am I just getting soft in my old age, or is there something not-so-cool about opening up SLOG and seeing footage of a woman taking an aluminum bat to the face?

The worst part? After four or five repetitions I started thinking, “Eh, I guess it’s not so bad…”

I had to search to see what you were talking about. I don't look at anything on the page except the center column (sorry, advertising department). That is a bit, what, disturbia-ing, I guess?

TIP: You can use 'flashblocker' and other tools to block animated ads.

It is just a scene from a movie. It is not real. I accept it for what it is. The movie is probably dumb. I have no plans to see it. You're OK.

I clicked the comments page so that I could see what you were talking about, and sure enough the ad I'm seeing as I type this is it. I'm not a fan either, but if it brings in money for the SLOG, I'm for it. That said, I'm installing adblock now.

I use adblocker otherwise it takes forever for Slog to load, so I have been spared.

I'm just surprised that the NSFWers aren't in a lather about it. I guess I'm just more down with a depiction of a woman getting it on with an octopus than a depiction of a woman getting smashed in the face.
