We have a lame duck President and a lame duck congress. Nothing is going to be accomplished until 2009.

The good news is that at least a few Republicans must have jumped ship to join the Dems. With 1 Dem out with a brain hemorrhage or whatever, and Leiberman sucking Bush's cock, the Dems couldn't have done it completely on their own.

It's non-binding, and without much teeth, but it is a step in the right direction. I'm actually surprised they managed to pull together enough votes to pass it, even if just barely. So, yah, good for them. If Bush vetoes it, which seems likely, then they can contemplate stronger action later. But this is a good first step. Not as forceful as some of us might like, but not the rubber stamp congress Bush has completely controlled for the last 6 years.

Since Lieberman was busy wiping off his chin, Chuck Hagel voted with the Dems.

I hope all o yall are calling your Senators (and Moveon.org, those traitors) demanding that the Senate put a "No attacking Iran" clause in this version of the bill. We have got to stop Bush from starting World War III here. The Russians and the Chinese may claim that Iran is out of their hands, but if Bush lobs a nuke you can bet they will take that extremely seriously. Either way, gas prices will soar and China will probably take the opportunity to snag Taiwan.

This is a very dangerous time, so get on the phone and call your elected officials!

No. 1: You have a point. However, at the very least, I hope Congress keeps Bush fighting....keep him away from starting another war.

What a sham. A non binding resolution. It is just for show, so they can print there misleading headlines of “Date set for withdraw.” It means nothing. Anyone that sees hope in the “impeachemnt is off the table” Pelosi Dems is a fool. American Democracy is an illusion, like God or the Easter Bunny. But I guess the American left needs to have their illusions to keep being the lame spineless Wiemar Dems that they are. Idiots.

At least they didn't pass a motion to investigate President GW Bush and VP RB Cheney for impeachable offenses like the King County Dems did tonight.
