Israeli diplomat recalled for… well, let’s go to the news report…
Israel has recalled its ambassador to El Salvador after he was found bound, drunk and naked in the yard of his residence, a spokeswoman said Monday….Two weeks ago, El Salvador police found Tsuriel Raphael naked outside his residence, tied up, gagged and drunk, Israeli media reported. He was wearing several sex toys at the time, the media said. After he was untied, Raphael told police he was the ambassador of Israel, the reports said.

Mr. Raphael was obviously a VERY GOOD ambassador. In one sense at least.

Poor El Salvador. Probably the only countries that send them ambassadors who are real diplomats are also in Central America. Everyone else sends them schmucks who are politically connected so they can polish their resumes.
El Salvador knew Bush was visiting Latin America. Unlike the conventional protests in Brazil and Columbia, here we have a creative comment on the kinky relationship the U.S. has with Israel.
What happens in El Salvador...
...becomes world-wide embarrassment for Israel.

the story lists several recent isreali "embarassadors" who have been removed amid scandal. i wonder how this compares to other the numbers of diplomats from other countries who are also removed for such reasons.
I'm really disappointed in MSNBC. Where are the photos of this embassador in regalia? How am I suppsed to figure out how I feel about this turn of events without any visuals?

I think "wear" is probably not the appropriate verb to use in conjunction with "sex toys". And yet I can't seem to come up with a better one.
