Deborah Eisenberg (READING) She has been writing short stories for years and years—good ones, fascinating ones, published in places like the New Yorker—but she’s been more or less unknown to the world at large because, well, she writes short stories. Then her fourth collection, Twilight of the Superheroes, came out, was praised to the skies, and became a word-of-mouth hit. It’s out in paperback. She’s never read in Seattle before.
