Anyone else having a problem with the Coulter link? It isn't coming up for me.

Also, the newborn girl kidnapped from Texas was found. That's very good news.

It's about her 17th allegedly career-ending moment, she said.

"It happens about every six months," Coulter said, "and you're always there to put me on TV, Sean."

and forever on the slog.

I'd like to hear you guys go after Michael Savage. He has sayed far worse than coulter and yet he is not gone after because your afraid to get mentioned anywhere near conservative radio. Good strategy. maybe. But I would still love a Savage vs. Savage media war.

I like the one about Michael Medved though. That was a good one.

Wow. Two attempts to force something that voters reject by doing it peacemeal: Bush and his staggered surge, and then this:

"They say they can simultaneously move forward with a plan for an elevated replacement but postpone action on it long enough to quell discontent that threatens to bring the whole project to a permanent standstill."

Hmmm, national ID cards with ID numbers. I thought we all had our number that was ours with our SSN. Which was brought to us by the First President that was called the Anti-Christ..... Franklin D Roosevelt. (And I think that is when the Fundies started to push the thought the ante-christ would probably be a democratic president) In the 1930's there was a huge uproar amongst religous fundamentalists about the use of Social Security Numbers and yes, they said it was the beginning of the end.

But should we have a National ID Card? I am not a fan of it and frankly it is Federalism run out of control. Certianly Thomas Jefferson would not be happy but Alexander Hamiliton would have approved of it. (Sorry, I am still reading the collection of the Federalist Papers and the Anit-Federalist Papers. Great reading and rather interesting when put in today's political climate)

One instance where the religious nutjobs come in handy. RealID is a bad thing.

‘Help them reap the benefits of a democracy’
The president has indicated he will ask Congress to maintain current aid levels to Colombia at roughly $700 million annually to support the Latin American nation’s fight against terrorism and drug trafficking.

BOGOTA, Colombia - President Bush renewed U.S. support to Colombia, a strong but drug and violence-plagued U.S. ally which receives more U.S. aid than any country outside the Middle East and Afghanistan.

All I can say is AAAAAGH. Dammit lets just give them everygoddamn cent we earn. It still isn't going to change the fact that nothing is going to change down there.

Thanks for putting up morning news on the weekend. Usually the Slog is quiet on S & S.

Also, D Savage mentions M Savage every once in a while. Mostly to just remind us that Michael's real surname is Wiener. That's all you really need anyway. No one takes that nut job seriously. It's a shame people still insist on taking Coulter seriously.
