I wish there was a glossy Seattle magazine made for people who, like me, live well below the median wage. How about a list of the most affordable neighborhoods (for renters) that has good bus service to Downtown or the U-District? That's information I can use.
Need it be said that people who live well below the median wage generally don't buy or subscribe to glossy magazines? I feel your pain, though.
Fuck. I've been missing out all this time!
I'm moving to Kent. Stat!
Thanks, Seattle Metropolitan!
Well, Kent's not the worst place to live -- despite it being the butt of every Seattle burb joke ever, probably because "Kent" is one syllable.
At least it has some little rustic downtown type thing. Other burbs don't even bother with that.
Also my neighborhood wasn't mentioned anywhere near the top. Thank you Seattle Metro! My rent is safe!
Lets see here. Kent is the #1 place to live in Seattle. Seattle is the #1 city in the US according to several lists. And of course, America is the greatest country in the world. And also of course, God created life only on our little plan from the entire universe.
Thus, Kent is the greatest place to live in the entire universe.
crap, meant to say "our little planet".
fekking kent
ROFLOL...
It's a nice place to do jury duty. Very walkable.
Let them eat Kent!
The only people who say Kent is the best place to live obviously have never lived in Kent. It's nice, but I'll never live there again. It's only walkable in the valley, and only in certain areas. However, it is home to the Caveman BBQ, and thus is redeemed much.
Kent is pretty much hell on earth. No, I think it is the place where people who screw up in Hell end up. Yeah, Kent is Hell's Hell.
Kent? OK, it's official, they're on drugs.
Poster #1, that magazine is The Stranger.
Kent?! I can maybe see Kirkland because of its waterfront, but Kent?
Yeah, I read that at the chiropractor's office. Fucking retarded. Kent?! Someone over at the magazine must own a lot of property in Kent and is hoping to up the property value by publishing an absurd list.
Thanks for the tip, DOUG., I have jury duty down there next week!
oh, and downtown Seattle is nice for jury duty too - spent most of this week at King County Superior Court - was glad to see one of my favorite lunch places downtown is still going strong after at least 18 years!
@16: Have lunch at the Wild Wheat Bakery & Cafe down on First Ave. by the railroad tracks. The food's great and there's a park right there to hang out in.
Kent is it's own city/town separate from Seattle. It would have been smarter to either state Best Places to Live in King County, or list a neighborhood in Seattle.
Kent sure is, um, Metropolitan, alright.
Kent DOES have the craziest drag show at any gay bar that I've ever seen - at TRAXX. Sweet Mary.
sorry, kent just kent be the best place to live. kent is ok, but kent kent be the only best place to live outside of seattle or kent it is, no it just kent.what about bellevue, that's all about the bellevue overthere in bellevue. I know, kent kent believe that bellevue in bellevue since kent is so awsome, kent you see!
