Wow, I'm so happy we have a man who doesn't proofread his announcements setting our American diplomats straight. Awesome.

And Americans wonder why Europeans think that the US is an insane theocracy.

I think I have been on every Latvian and European Union television since I’ve been here.

Maybe they were doing a Borat! with him.

*chortle*

Can you imagine being the poor schmuck embassy staffer who had to sit there and be scolded by Hutch? You'd have to pay me a lot of money to do that kind of job. They'd never hire me, of course, because a job like that requires diplomatic skills, like placidly listening to assholes like this without laughing or punching them even once.

Yes, Hutch. Keep believing that American diplomats give a flying fuck about what you think.

At least he doesn't have to worry about any racism in Latvia or those lesser-developed European nations. Oh, wait ...

How 'bout a Prayer Warrior request that his plane home is piloted by another religious fanatic intent on making an impact.

@4: Yes the State Department is great at training people not to listen while showing concern and empathy. I'm sure Hutch really thought he'd get somewhere.

@7, I'd just settle for that blood clot thing that Cheney got - only worse.

Given that the majority of Americans have no real problem with gays, I think it's Hutch that isn't representing our values well, and given that he's spending his congregation's money on trips to Latvia instead of, I dunno, feeding the poor, healing the sick, clothing the naked, etc., I don't think he's representing Christian values that well either.

I got a great gimmick here: The gym cost practically nothing, the "office space" is donated by one of my simps, as are my cars, and most of the work done around my house is gratis as well.

And this "prayer warrior" shtick is great: I just bitch about things, in a "prayerful" way, and these clods usually chip right in.

Everybody should have a church.

Where is the tolerance? Oh yah, there is none in the gay community. If people don’t agree / accept your lifestyle as ok you say they are intolerant. However, it is ok that for you to bad mouth and slander someone you don’t agree with. WOW, isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black. Once again, where is YOUR tolerance?

I think it's about time someone in america is willing to stand up for moral decency. America need more men and women like the Hutch. I have heard him speak, he does stand for what is good and moral. Maybe people get so upset because they really don't like what they see in themselves.
