Elswinger, are you arguing based on chronological precedence, or because To Sleep With Anger is not a great film? Because IMDB says To Sleep With Anger was released first.

First or second, To Sleep With Anger is a better film. Harder to find than it should be. Great pick up CM.

The films of Charles Burnett are amazing. One of the best African American film makers of all time. Killer of Sheep is opening in NY or at least thats what annie just posted. Glass Shield is also good. He is so over looked. WAAAYYYy better than John Singleton who got so much props for that lousy flick Boys N the Hood. To Sleep with Anger is a masterpiece. The whole southern superstition and devil thing is just great film making.
