y'know, i just went to a free screening of "The Rape of the Sabine Women" and bought a ticket online in advance. Cost me one dollar on the service charge, but much simplified my entry to the thing. (Which turned out to be worth less than I paid, but that's not my point.) There's something to be said for rewarding those willing and able to drop everything and do nothing for hours in order to guarantee entry, I suppose...

I think it's great that Amanda has done so well. She used to be my neighbor years ago at Granada Court in NE Portland, and she was always the really quiet, really nice, performance artist that we would glimpse every once in a while, and hear whispers about.
