It’s on TV!

posted by on March 16 at 11:35 AM

• NERD ALERT ONE! This Sunday brings us part one of the two-part BATTLESTAR GALACTICA season finale, wherein that creepy creep Dr. Baltar goes on trial for crimes against humanity. Call in Johnnie Cochran!

• NERD ALERT TWO! In a valiant effort to keep VERONICA MARS from being canceled, creator Rob Thomas plans to pitch a show where Veronica is a FBI trainee — in the agency’s special “Lingerie Division.”

• RIPPED FROM THE HEADLINES! Original Buffy KRISTY SWANSON and Mr. Show’s DAVID CROSS will appear as people who are remarkably similar to Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern in an upcoming Law & Order: Criminal Intent. FINALLY! A reason to watch this show!

• UMMM… EW! According to the 60 Minutes interview airing this Sunday, American Idol b-hole SIMON COWELL was once offered 100 grand to watch a couple make love and then critique them. Randy Jackson agreed to step in when he learned the couple was doing it “DOG-gy style.” Ouch. That’s not funny.

We need more sexy Cylons, IMHO.

Of course, we also have to wait until season end to find out if Starbuck is a Cylon about to wake up in a Platinum Bathtub (Final Five) or just picked up by that silly White Light Starship from the original series to fight the Evil Dark Lord of Shadows.

Liked the pen, though.

I hope V Mars is not getting canned because of Pussy.

L&O: CI is the only one of the 3 L&Os I watch and most in danger of being canceled. I've grown to prefer the episodes with Chris Noth. They need to put the original L&O out to pasture. Should Sam Waterston be the actual District Attorney by now?

And Simon Cowell critiques Baltar's trial, telling Adama to get those pockmarks fixed and screeching at the President why she didn't shove him out an airlock.

@3: Waterston moonlights as a real DA in between TD Waterhouse commercials.

Hm, mayhaps Cowell as one of the "final five", critiquing the others for their inability to wipe out the final 40,XXX humans?

Either that, or cast him as Count Iblis...

I say Waterston as one of the 5, with Dianne Wiest making a comeback as the Cylon's counterpart to the President.

Wm. Did you watch Andy Barker? What did you think? I wound up watching all six episodes on line then bout them on I-Tunes. Episode 6 with Amy Sedaris and Ed Asner won't be shown on TV because it's a little too raunchy for a network show, but Amy is fucking hilarious. Her character makes Jerry Blank seem reserved.

Hmmm. Maybe too many people have been watching BG in HDTV - focussing on the pockmarks of Adama instead of the Cylons?

@9 - no, but I've heard it's good.

They might still be on NBC.com for free. If not, and you wind up liking the show, I'll give you the $2 to download episode 6 from I-Tunes!
