I'm not going to do it this season. Not for the last 6, 4, or 2. I just can't let myself watch this show ever again. I feel like my IQ drops 10 points for every half hour I witness and let's face, I'm not smart enough to afford the loss.

I will continue to enjoy youtube clips of messy Paula "Princess Valium" Abdul slur her way through interviews. That shit is funny. BUT THAT'S IT!

Sticking to the subject at hand, what's with the "Thriller" walk?

first, THERE IS NO WAY EXCEPT FEDERAL WAY. haters, off.

second, why do you insist on ripping on poor sanjaya? he is a gem as a human being and a gifted performer whose time has come. america knows this. that's why they voted for him!

third, your comments make it very clear that not all of america is ready for an indian american idol. it is shameful to call someone torturous only because he is proud of his heritage and just wants to entertain us with his beautiful soul.

I totally think America is ready for an Indian American Idol--if they're offered one who doesn't suck.

Hump's use of the word "torturous" was fitting--even Sanjaya knows he's out of his league, and for his devoted fans to keep prolonging his televised humiliation is cruel.

if i had one wish, and only one wish, it would be for this show to have never existed.

Give me a break, why be so surprised that a Modest Mouse song is being featured in such a high profile show? This genre, this underground, or whatever, has been mainstreamed. Get over it.

Out of extremely idle (idol?) curiousity, I recently got the public library to order copies of Diana Ross' new CD "I Love You". I'm not a huge Ross fan, but I was around when the Supremes burst onto the scene in the 60s. So, How Bad Is It? So bad that I returned it in 2 days without even copying it (which must be a first for me).

Deacon: It's not the use of the song. It's the incredibly stupid use of the song.

Granted, MM got away with murder on their first sell-out, where 15 seconds of instrumental music from some "Moon and Antarctica" track was featured in a car commercial.

But they didn't deserve this.
