Good for DePauw!
Yeah! I love good news.
One down, how many to go?
obviously politically motivated. these schools know exactly what the greek system is all about. if they really objected to behavior like this, they wouldn't allow them to be associated with their universities in the first place.
i would at least hope they would expell the assholes who got the bright idea to 'purge' in the first place.
i'm sure they'll have a hard time doing that, though, given the greek honor code dictates that members don't rat on each other... either that or the din of blowdryers is too loud for anybody to comprehend what is being said within a four mile radius of a sorority house.
It was the national Delta Zeta organization that purged those members, not other sorority sisters. So, there's really no one to rat on.
Isn't this how 70-80s slasher/horror movies start out?
if they'd purged with more grace, the college wouldn't have given a shit.
glad the kiddies in the midwest will actually get out in the streets for something - but not a war, apparently.
It's about time on this one. I'm a DZ (unfortunatly). I can believe they did that, something similar happened to me too =( This one just got media attention.
Good to hear! That said, many of my Facebook friends are in sororities - haven't heard anything about this from them.
hmmmm...when i went to college most of the DZ's were a little cornfed...but, then again, it WAS Nebraska and we were ALL a little cornfed...and it was the 80's...
So, DePauw has kicked out the ugly sorority to improve its image, eh?
I'll bet they're saying they did it because Delta Zeta wasn't doing enough to bring new students to campus.
What? They didn't even get Double-Secret Probation?
