It's not good news when whoever replaces him is going to be as much a christian taliban as he was. Gonzales is the same: he's no better than Ashcroft, and the next one will be no better than him. This fish is rotten at the head (and that's Rove). The Bush Administration will put ideology ahead of competence; given the choice between doing what's right and doing what is most politically advantageous, they will pick the politics every single time. They have no concept that governing a nation is somehow different from waging a scorched-earth political campaign, or that taking an oath of office imposes responsibilities to all the people you govern (whether you agree with them or not).
