Media Breaking News: Adolescents Are Angry!

onWho knew?
Apparently not Thursday Styles, the weekly torture to the intelligent that the New York Times produces. They have a *STARTLING* report on adolescents being angry, in a (not) new way: writing down all the names of the people they hate on a piece of paper, or *NOW* on the internet!
STARTLING!
What I want to know:
Isn’t it good for our nation’s youth to be following in the footsteps of Nixon?

I'm 33 years old, and I'm pissed too!
Style reporting, at its worst, is shallow and silly. At its best, it can say something unique about us and our culture. It illustrates what we value, how we think, how we socialize. I find examles of both extremes in the NYT Style section. Even today, directly following the article you critique, there is a piece written by a black father who learns, through his daughter, how emotionally and politically charged hair issues can be for black women. I agree there are some pieces in this section that make any intelligent person feel icky about the world, but there are also some beautiful examinations of how American culture operates. I will gladly take the bad along with the good.
I have a long list, but I don't write it down. I just use the Blue Pages from DC.
I don't keep a list. The ones I hate constantly remind me why so there's really no need to make a list.
I hate everything. Much less effort that way. And I can never find a pen anyways.
Maybe more abstinence education can help. Oh, and encourage them to let out their frustations on violent video games.
