Comment by Lietta Ruger military family with 2 returning Iraq veterns

As a military family with two returning Iraq veterans, both facing repeat deployments to Iraq this year - I DO take exception to the use of the words 'wasted' lives.

Not just from politicians (Barack Obama, and now John McCain) but also when those words are used by the peace/activist movement to make their point.

Interested in why I take exception? Read it at my blog, Dying to Preserve the Lies. And it has little to do with this political football of 'patriotism' and 'support the troops' propaganda and more to do with compassion.

So with one side of his mouth he says lives were "wasted" while with the other he says Bush hasn't sent ENOUGH troops in for the "surge"?

Someone please explain that.
