cha-ching!
Well that is one way to make the coin an interest to the general public by starting with a mistake or is it. Or is it like like when the loon was put on the Canadian dollar. As if the designers and government did not know people would call it loony. It is all to generate excitement, interest and eventually acceptance of something that is generally a hard sell. The loony was followed by a two dollar coin aptly called a toony. So the loony toony caught on if the loon was not on the original dollar coin it would not have been so popular. So now you have some rare US dollar coins circulating, perfect promotion for acceptance of the coin. It is not a mistake.
Leave it to the government making a mistake to get those God Damned words of the currency already.
Durr. "off" E Pluribus Spelling.
I blame the Pretzeldent.
Exactly, him@1. Grab 'em while you can, and sock 'em away in a safe place. They might actually be worth something someday.
COMTE, yes, someday they will be worth face value... someday.
I just like the idea of being able to find a piece of currency that doesn't mention God.
And if they really wanted to drum up interest in metal dollars, they'd stop making the paper ones.
#8 agreed. They might as well have put the cross and holy grail on every coin made in america. And Moses could replace Lincoln on the penny. Jesus in place of George Washington. David and Solomon for the nickel and dime. Would that make them happy?
Anything that would make B O's head explode I am for.
