I LOVE the start up of Smear Politics by the Democrats. Say what you will about our inability to be united but it is just this sort of mud slinging that makes the Democrats so damn enjoyable to watch! RE: Refusing the Veil...

The reason he shot her, as stated by the gunman, was because she was a woman in politics. It had almost NOTHING to do with the veil. It would not have mattered if she had been in a burqua, it matters that she was a woman in power. Fox News tried to make the same headline, and yet when you read what the shooter said, he emphasizes the fact that women don't belong in power, and that its goes against Allah. I wonder if people want to focus on the veil thing because deep down inside, they feel the same way and don't want to admit they agree with a fanatic nutjob. Its easier to try and blame the veil, since most westerners don't agree with that.
