onAnd The Stranger gets scooped in its own backyard. As the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports: “Gun pulled on man posting fliers in Capitol Hill.”
A man who was posting fliers on Capitol Hill Monday afternoon was threatened at gunpoint by a gunman who thought his own advertisement had been covered, Seattle police reported. While holding the weapon, the person apparently told the man, “I’ll put you in the gutter,” according to a police report.
The victim is a Shoreline man in his late 30s. He told police he was in the 1100 block of East Pike Street, posting advertisements on light poles near a skateboard shop and record store.
Eep. Full story here.

It's just like shroom hunting ...
By whom else would you be threatened at gunpoint, if not a gunman?
threatened at gunpoint by a gunman
@2 well, sure, but what i still want to know is whether or not the gunman had a gun when he was threatening others at gunpoint.
we may never know.
That's why the cops were on our block yesterday!
-- sheesh, getting "poster of the week" isn't THAT important...

there's no law against tearing down posters. anybody can do it. hell, maybe I'll exercise my rights and tear some down as a show of solidarity.
with characteristic timidity, the PI fails to provide any physical description whatsoever other than 'person.' and 'man.' apparently he had a gun and 'another person' was with him.
either the east precinct or brad wong are alseep on the job. that's an unexceptable description.
"Person" is journalist-speak and police-speak for "white male, age 25-40, brown hair, slightly overweight, slightly unkempt, wearing t-shirt, blue jeans, sneakers, light jacket (if weather appropriate)."
It saves a lot of ink.
I think being threatened at gunpoint by a swordsman would be far more interesting.
I would like to know what both of the posters said.
wow, i love the P-I...you go to the website and you get fuckin' pop-ups...did myspace design their website...douchebags...
Wow, this is just providing ammunition to impose another poster ban. This time, there could be a compelling state interest - posters are linked to gun violence, and banning them would reduce gun violence.
Hello guys!!!
Best for you :)
