How is he able to raise that much? How about the richest 5% owning 60% of the wealth. You don't need approval ratings if you have really rich friends.

Especially if those insanely rich friends are deathly afraid of being out of touch with those in power in a few short election cycles. Fear of losing (or more like getting whomped!) is the best inspiration to open the pocketbooks...

693 days to go.

I used the same strategy for long-distance biking.

24 miles is only 4 miles 6 times, of which, 1 mile is one quarter of one of the legs.

Then you just go back to making up your own solos to the song you can't get out of your head.

Just look at the latest WSJ, WP/ABC, and Gallup polls on every issue - when 2/3 of America is against your ideas and methods, it doesn't matter what the deadender 1/3 thinks, even if 3/4 of that 1/3 agree with your insane ideas.

We need a Death Clock. Time for this Waste of an Administration to be over. I for one will be glad when they are consigned to the wilderness for another 40 years of shame and infamy.

Delusional is right.

Here is what REALLY perplexes me. When a rich guy defends W, I get it. He is rich, greedy and selfish, so he wants the conservative corporate shill in power. But the average joe that *still* believes in W just kills me. These rubes take delusional to a whole new level...

You can count my parents, sister, and brother-in-law amongst those delusional ones. It makes my jaw drop when I talk to them and they still think that W is great, that the war is justified, etc. And these are educated people - masters level and above!

scharrera> My brother and cousin are there too. I just shake my head and pity them. They remind me of the WWII Japanese soldiers that were found on desreted islands 20 years after the war ended that still believed it was going on. How sad.

Mike in MO,

It's because the secret wish of almost every W lovin' GOP'er is to someday join that vaunted 5% cited by him@1. That's the pipe dream they've been fed: "keep votin' fer us, and someday YOU TOO may be richer than midas!"

Of course it's all just a big sham, but then - what H.L. Mencken said.

I know, but despite W's several obnoxious blunders I shudder when I think of what a Kerry presidency would be like - go figure. Don't flame me, my mind can occupy two diametrically opposite views about the current president at the same time.
