But Brewster is pretty smart and did a good job outlining the better hopes of the city - when there was some hope for you all. But Knute Berger? Jesus! That guy should be writing for the Valley edition of the L.A. Times. What a retrogressive, smug, suburban ex-hippie he is when discussing anything happening within 100 miles of home; regarding nationwide politics, though, his analyses are spot-on. Is he only able to think rationally about things happening across a body of water from where he lives? (Wait, Seattle is across a body of water...whatever.) Is he under the influence of some ancient curse? Is his Kirkland megamansion on an Indian burial ground or something?
