In an episode of Ricky Gervais's "Extras", the utterly unfiltered Maggie repeats a bit of wisdom she learned as a child -- "up for Chinese, down for Japanese" -- demonstrating with her fingers in front of a horrified audience of a Japanese-American woman and several other people she and Ricky are trying to impress. Hilarious and uncomfortable. Unlike Our Pat here, they do not immediately receive guffaws and massive quantities of checks.
