@1,

Yep. Marguerite told Tom, dude. Which is MY favorite Lou Reed lyric.

I could never bring myself to cheer for the Lakers of Magic for the same reason Josh 3000 could never cheer for the Sonics—they stole our championship! I loved watching DJ beat those guys when he was in Boston. Or watching anyone beat them. Still.

As an aside, DJ’s passing is a “were you in Seattle then” line in the sand. If you were there, it’s “DJ.” If you weren’t, it’s “Dennis Johnson.”

National Tragedy of DJ dying aside...how can anyone with a shred of humanity write, "I hated Gus Williams and Jack Sikma"

I told my husband yesterday "Dennis Johnson died", and he said "Who?" That is just wrong. DJ was my favorite Sonic way back when, but once they traded him away I stopped following basketball.
