Miserable Failure No More »

Call we call it an escalation now?
We will need more troops for our potential "defensive" action against Iran. Check out Brzezinski's recent testimony in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee: http://the-american-interest.com/contd/?p=604
It's worth the read.
It's not an escalation, because (a) it's not permanent, or even long term, and (b) it's not even as much of an increase as we've seen several times in the past. What it is is a textbook example of "a day late and a dollar short". Doomed, in another word.
I don't even think Bush is trying to win; I think he's trying to pass the mess on to 2008.
