1957 was the nadir of American car design. Maybe not really, but it became so the day all the Elvis-lovin' boomers decided to make it theirs. So tiresome. At least it's not a Chevy.

1963 Mercury Meteor. Now there's a big piece of American iron. Lincoln Continental. If you don't like them that big, how about a 1960 Plymouth Valiant? Or go overseas for a gorgeous Volvo 1800, or my own favorites, the Hillman Imp, the Fiat 500, and the finest motor vehicles ever manufactured, the Velam Isetta (much lovelier than the BMW one).

The Volvo P1800 is beautiful! Basically the early to mid sixties through the early 70's are the cars I love the most.
