Media Be Hot, Wear Diesel

onDiesel has a new marketing scheme:
In print ads promoting its spring/summer collection, the Italian-based clothing company depicts landscapes that have been transformed by environmental disaster. The proud buildings of Manhattan and the presidential faces of Mount Rushmore are half-submerged in water from melted glaciers. Paris is a steamy jungle. Life looks pretty awesome, though. Diesel’s models are dressed fashionably if barely (to accommodate the weather) and they lounge amid this hip dystopia in glamorous unconcern, fanning themselves or applying suntan lotion to one another’s tawny backs. The images are stamped: “Global Warming Ready.”

hilarious.
I wonder what he's reading...
At least you can look good while to planet burns up.
See, the end of the world's not all *that* bad ...
If the water gets up to Mount Rushmore--in South Dakota--it's doubtful that there will be any supermodels left alive, as they all will have been long since been eaten, or used as kindling.
Ryan: note the glaciers breaking up on the back of the book. that's a concerned citizen you're gawking at.
Who cares what he's reading or what's being displayed. He's hot!
I'm getting warmer.
That's fucked up though. Leave it to the fashion industry to turn one of the greatest threats to humankind into a glib ad. It would be funny except most people who see the ad will probably be like, "yeah...it'll be like Hawaii EVERYWHERE when Global Warming REALLY gets going. *giggle giggle*"
How did he score the spackling job?
Nice, Lloyd.
i'm sorry, global what? i was too busy checking out chad white's amazing torso.
