Architecture Where the Streets Have No Shame

onBig-time Irish rockers Bono and the Edge have now become big-time Irish developers. The duo’s first project is this wavy, shiny Dublin hotel:
Dublin’s Clarence Hotel is an upscale establishment that is about to undergo a 21st century renovation. The Clarence is being redeveloped by the project’s owners, U2’s Bono and the Edge, to be one of the “most spectacular hotels in Europe”.And when I go there, I’ll go there with you; it’s all I can do.

Rooms start at $490 a night, up to $3,640 a night for the penthouse suite. I won't be staying there.
i will!
They owned that place when I was in Dublin back in 1998!
Don't they have enough money? Cripes.
Your second Foster citation in as many months. Whatever else they may say Charles, never let them deny your eye for quality design.
'I want to run, I want to hide,' I want to barf. The summer of 1987 'The Joshua Tree' was one of my favorite records of the year. I woke up from a nap to it not so long ago on my brother's car stereo waiting to cross into the U.S. at Tijuana and found it unendurably corny and false. Everything good about that record is special effects by Brian Eno. U2 sucks.
I had lunch in the Clarence's Tea Room in 2001. Lovely, lightfilled room. I imagine the picture is of an addition to the building? You'd be a dope to do much of anything to what's there already.
