What’s Not in the Paper?

posted by on January 3 at 16:02 PM

Hey! Here’s a little roundup of some sweet additions to this week’s issue that you can only find online at thestranger.com.

Words

Celebrity I Saw You, by Adrian Ryan
Cienna Madrid’s Chow Bio interview
Andrew Wright’s interview with Tom Tykwer, the director of Perfume
The Readings Calendar

Sounds

Our music podcast, Setlist
Three of the bands in our feature have pages in our band section:
Lesbian
Grand Hallway
the Heavy Hearts

Pictures

Jen Graves’s piece on the McLeod Residence has a slideshow at the bottom of the article of additional photographs of the house.
Drunk of the Week has an honorable mention with an additional image.

Also, if you haven’t read Paul Constant’s piece on Gerald Ford, it’s been relocated. And you should read it, because it may be the best piece the Stranger puts out all year.

While we’re talking about the website, you should check out our new site, even if you’ve looked before:

Looks cleaner and more readable with every tweak. When does it go live for real?

the new site is awesome! wow, great job... i thought it was awful when it first came up but some minor improvements have made it grand.

the only thing i think could use improving is the left column... it looks pretty drab. the lovelab/lustlab ads look like something off the christian coalition website and the navigation links are a little dull. other than that, A++++

I have an idea, how about a work-safe slog option? I keep having all-but-naked women framing the text. I like it, but I don't think the 4 women I work with like it much.
