As desperate as a story on 11 grand spent for postage?

I thought basement living was already bad enough. Especially come January in Seattle.

A plan and a back-up plan rightly top the list. I use that two-pronged strategy for as many milieus as possible.

The number of deaths is just one statistic. How about the number of assaults?

I'll say this: there were a couple of dozen shootings within a few blocks of my CD residence last year. I can't think of a single one from years past. Fortunately and miraculously, only two resulted in death. Many of these were not reported to police and don't show up in your stats. In other cases, the "victims" refused to cooperate with police.

So, please stop denying reality based on incomplete stats. I invite you to attend a block watch meeting (lesbians make up a plurality in our group, so you should feel at home), and hear firsthand what's been happening.

It is when your city is as woefully incapable of handling such storms as Seattle is.

I mean, we still have our power lines on wooden poles and our traffic signals on WIRES. Even many smaller towns phased that sort of shit out 20 years ago!
