onGo to the Mountains (Snow Sports) The December deluge at sea level dumped piles of powder onto our mountains, and it’s a perfect day for playing in the snow. The Summit at Snoqualmie, 50 miles out of town on I-90, boasts four parks for skiers and snowboarders, trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoe rentals, plus a great tubing hill. Current temperature at Snoqualmie Pass: 41 degrees. It's pissing rain. Have fun.
word is they're going to get about a foot of snow on thursday and friday. for reals. that's when i'm heading up!
Yep, Thursday and/or Friday is the call.
On Christmas weekend the snow was sooo good up at Crystal. Wonderful fluffy powder rather than the concrete we usually get.
Hmm.. I can't wait until this weekend.
Does anybody else think it's funny that Charles is posting the snowboarding recco?
Yeah, DON'T go today! I wrote this early last week when the forecast was iffy...
If Charles ever does go to the mountains, he'll have to wear a one-piece penguin costume/snowsuit.
Through free advertising, the Stranger sends a herd of SOVs out of the city and into the mountains. Cool!
