These DEA raids of medical marijuana patients are insane. What will it take for the feds to realize that there's no good reason to bust people that are just trying to live and die in peace?
Gotta love this:
***The prosecutor on the case asked Bremerton Police Detective Roy Alloway, who serves on the drug task force, who they were. He soon learned that Worthington, of Renton, had a habit of sending e-mails to law-enforcement and government officials complaining about what he saw as the unfair targeting of medical-marijuana patients.
Based on that, Alloway wrote in court papers, "I decided to investigate these individuals."***
You know for a "Christian Nation" we sure have never learned a basic tenant of Christ's teaching about forgiveness. How long do people have to pay for their crimes? I really would like someone to answer that question for me.
It used to be claimed that if you did the crime you did the time (which is all fine and good). But now, watch out!! You get to pay by doing the time in the slammer AND for the rest of your life.
I don't think that article really described an atmosphere of resentment among the French... In fact it uses the term 'cultural shift'. Objectivity por favor!
So, will the DEA shell out for condoms for the people they now locked up? And can we tag-team them as subs if their victims get raped in jail? Seems only fair ...
@4 - Pardon? '"If this decree is applied, the stage is set for pitched battles," said Michel Burton, president of The Collective of Lovers of the Art of Living, a group of bon vivants who are seeking ways to fight the ban in court.'
