Sunday Morning Sports Report

posted by on January 7 at 9:16 AM

Seahawks: A botch 19-yard field goal with just over a minute left to play. A crazy ass safety. Jerramy Stevens hearing cheers instead of boos. The Seattle D stepping up in a big way. Jordan Babineaux stopping Tony Romo just short of a game-ending first down…

In short, what a game.

Up next: Either New Orleans or Chicago, depending on the outcome of today’s Eagles vs. Giants.

Update: The Eagles just beat the Giants with a last second field goal, 23-20. So next weekend it will be Seahawks vs. Bears. Endless taunting from Chicago Fan begins…now.

Also: Wazzu shocked #7 Arizona; the Huskies finally got a win against a Pac-10 opponent; and the Sonics…well, you can probably guess the outcome.

Oh, and the Mariners signed another mediocre pitcher.

Nothing warms this Eagles fan's heart more than watching the Cowboys fail spectacularly. Same goes for the Redskins (so frequent this decade) and the Giants (coming soon to a 1 p.m. game near you.)

E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!

That was the most stressful game of football I have ever watched. I felt like I was totally high afterwards. What a game.

shit. i was hoping the bears-seahawks would be saturday's game, allowing me to liveslog it relatively easily. sunday at one either means i stay in iowa--visiting the other brother--thru sunday night, or leave at dawn, drive like a maniac back to chicago, and come to bruno's for the slogging.

life is full of tough decisions sometimes.

Chicago Fan - you should go to where alcohol is the easiest to find and getting home is a cab ride away. You'll be drinking your sorrows and wondering, "How can we beat the Seahawks - I mean, the SEAHAWKS, for cryin' out loud - 37-6 in the regular season, and then lose to them 30-24 in the postseason?!?"

@Him

Luckily for me, I live in a real city, where I can fucking walk home when fucked up. The question is how do I get from the cornfields of Iowa back to Chicago in my rental car sober?

The seahaks game saturday night was the best football I've ever seen in a long time. We were on the edge of our seats. I ran around the room and almost went into a wall after that defensive line pushing that cowboy from making a 1st down. and then the pressure on romo. The defense didn't give up and they will be that much more stronger against chicago. We had everyhting on our side. And it doesn't matter if a few Angels assist in a win either. Go seahaks. You guys rock. Hope Hatchett makes back. And switch in Wallace to make some key running plays hes great at that. Hasselbacks great but mix it up a little. And get some denver playbook plays out there. We need to through in some monkeywrenches to mess with chicagos offense and defenseive plays. study study study.practice?practice its all about practice man. What are we talkin bout. Practice. Its about practice man.Playoffs? playoffs?playoffs man.
