Sorry for not having weighed in sooner, but I was on a road trip that didn't involve internet access. Did you know that if you go three whole days without checking the internet, your eyeballs grow back? Anyway, there's plenty of reason for fans of both the Bears and the Seahawks to be gloomy about Sunday's upcoming NFC playoff game. The Seahawks only advanced because of Carrie Underwood's slickness all over Tony Romo's fingers, and the Bears have a habit of losing playoff games at home to teams they crushed that year (cf, Carolina last year). And there are plenty...

The seahaks game saturday night was the best football I've ever seen in a long time. We were on the edge of our seats. I ran around the room and almost went into a wall after that defensive line pushing that cowboy from making a 1st down. and then the pressure on romo. The defense didn't give up and they will be that much more stronger against chicago. We had everyhting on our side. And it doesn't matter if a few Angels assist in a win either. Go seahaks. You guys rock. Hope Hatchett makes back. And switch in Wallace to make some key running plays hes great at that. Hasselbacks great but mix it up a little. And get some denver playbook plays out there. We need to throw in some monkeywrenches to mess with chicagos offense and defenseive plays. study study study.practice?practice its all about practice man. What are we talkin bout. Practice. Its about practice man.Playoffs? playoffs?playoffs man.

The Seahawks won because Tony Romo saw that snap coming toward him and realized, “oh shit! Do I want to be the one losing by 30 points next week? Hell no!”

This reminds me of a 2000, when the Seahawks lost to Miami in a wild card game between two dreadful teams, and Miami lost 62-7 the next week.

It's all about execution, right? We blow the game to SD on bonehead DB coverage, and win this one on Romo's slippruh K-ball paws. Hooray!

Though I'm unhappy that Philadelphia's win means no more tickets to Qwest for me this year, I really wanted the rematch against Chicago all along. I want this delicious payback, and delish it shall be.

Your team is going DOWN, professor. It's all about momentum now. While the Hawks are coming off the greatest stolen victory since Mookie Wilson dribbled a ball up the first base line in Game Six, Rex Grossman's QB rating has sunk to the bottom of Lake Michigan. Sing the blues, Chicago.

That's me.

@ Doug:

Rex Grossman's Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. Watch for my next post about his schizophrenic antics--7 games with QB ratins above 100, three below 10.3, including one perfect Zero.

RE: Grossman ... Let's put this in perspective.

The last time the Bears won a playoff game was 1995 (1994 season). Their quarterback was the immortal Steve Walsh.
