Charles, are you feeling under the weather? That post was uncharacteristically unclear. I'm concerned. The day Charles uses "accept" in place of "except", makes me nervous.

unless I completely misunderstood that...

"and every event comes with a very long" - a very long what? I'm on the edge of my seat!

You're still great and talented, and I hope Zoo does extremely well.

"The journalist didn't recommend Zoo."

That was going to be his third, if the skier from Danver hadn't cut him off.

I've been tempted to attend Sundance, but I'd probably spend much of my time skiing, just as during the Venice Film Fest only saw 8 movies during 14 days - it's Venice, Italy!

After years of hearing about it, I went to Sundance 3 years ago. I know Utah, was a veteran of the Seattle Film Festival, and thought it would be great.

I didn't like it very much at all; I don't appreciate slacker ski-town vibes, as you said, the restaurants were all way too crowded, and the "scene" is not my scene.

I decided that yes, I prefer SIFF, where I can eat at better restaurants, talk about films with my friends, and sleep in my bed.

I heart SIFF.

Probably because the journalist had not seen it yet. Very simple.

No famous people? I know Justin Timberlake is there!

I wish that everybody had a widely read blog so that they could whine and piss and moan when they are invited to the one of the most prestigious and important events in their industry. How about instead of being a complaining about taxi prices and the free city buses for your convenience you give a little gratitude to the people who have given your film more publicity in a week than it could have gotten in a year without Sundance. I find it comical that the people there with little films or shorts who paid their own way down and are sleeping on couches or floors are super excited and grateful that they have this opportunity. Meanwhile one of the high profile features has a grumpy ingrate.

Guys, cut Charles some slack (not something that I usually do, but I've decided to try something different for a change). My wife is at Sundance covering the fest for work, so I know from her reports how fucking hard it is to adjust to the altitude. I imagine on top of the inconveniences, he plain feels like shit.

Charles: drink tons of bottled water, and pop that Airborne crap they hand out on the street.
