"What the hell else would one do with a plastinized, child-sized kidney?"

Play catch
Paper weight
Door stop
Immunity charm on Survivor

wait, is the kidney the size of a child, or the size a child's kidney.

because if it was the size of a child, I would totally swipe it too.

Okay, no-one else is saying it so I will: ORGAN-ized crime? Trés amusante!

the fact that the kidney was stolen isn't the most amazing part of the article. the fact that the exhibit has extended it's run is! why are people going to see this travesty? the good and legitimate exhibit is in vancouver. this exhibit contains bodies that were not DONATED. they were basically "stolen" in china. human rights organizations have boycotted this for years. don't go. and if you do go, steal more body parts!

I like to throw them at the federal building to protest the War in Iraq ... why, don't you?

And, you're right, Yuck - these are people executed for such crimes as not letting their ancestral homes be stolen for a military base. Their relatives even had to pay for the bullets to kill them.

ORGAN-ized crime? good one. The thief must have had some BILE about the exhibit to work out and didn't want to spilt a GUT to do so.

Their relatives even had to pay for the bullets to kill them.

I wonder where the Chinese government got that idea.

Was the exhibit in Casino Royale the legitimate one? That looked way cooler than ours.

I can't wait until Bodies goes away. I am so fucking sick of looking at those print ads.

ok when i went to see the bodies exhibit, i looked at my cell phone -once- to see what time it was. at the end of the tour, an uptight graduate student looking guy who had sort of been following our group cornered me. he jammed whatever was up his butt further north and said "just so you know, this whole exhibit is being watched by security cameras and I KNOW you did -something- with your phone. im going to ask that you show me the last photos that you took please, and if you took any of our exhibit, i am going to have to ask that you leave and you will not be allowed back." i laughed and showed him the last photo (a picture of my boss squeezed into a cardboard box) and made a joke about 'good thing i deleted all the naked photos ive been taken of myself!', which he didnt find amusing. at all.

okay. if they can see me look at my phone ONCE, how the hell could they not catch someone STEALING A FUCKING KIDNEY?!

Just to say that yes, the one in Casino Royale is indeed the legit exhibit. I know because I recognized the name of it from reading Mary Roach's Stiffed - the people in that one ASKED to be in the exhibit. There's a huge waiting list, apparently.

Actually there are a couple of legit exhibits, which makes Bodies even more sad, because not only is it unnecessary, but they probably only did the damn show as a moneymaker after the others were so successful.

"why are people going to see this travesty? the good and legitimate exhibit is in vancouver."

Give me convenience or give me death!
I'm going to the one here!
I don't have a vehicle or the time or the cash to make my way to Vancouver...
Thank jebus they extended it!

Is there any proof of these claims? If there was, wouldn’t the venerable stranger write them up?

"What a gut wrenching story. These theives have no heart."

But now they’ve got three kidneys!
ROFL
