Slog - Comments on Good Delivery

It's a nice night to stay in--nippley and slippery out--and I'm not in the mood for pizza. Anyone have a delicious-dinner-delivered idea (Cap Hill/First Hill area)?...

Well, this may be too close to pizza for you, but the folks at Palermo's on 15th deliver wonderful Italian stuff (and pizza too).

I think www.restaurantstogo.com has a solid variety of places to choose from, and they deliver within an hour (for a $10 fee - so it's best to do an order with at least one other person). They might not be delivering tonight because of the icy roads though.. Their number is on the home page if one wanted to make sure.

Good luck!

Thai. Most stir fries and noodle dishes stay warm enough. Teapot delivers -- depending on the time, others do too.

Being in the business of pizza, I get to witness how Seattle becomes a big, whiny crybaby every time something out of the ordinary happens. And in time honoured American tradition, chooses to abate that fear with food.

I second the Palermo vote. They rock. Eggplant parmesan sandwich, a mixed green salad with extra blue (or bleu, if you're an asshole) cheese dressing and a side order of spanicopita.... mmmmmmm....

Meh, it's not that cold. But then again I grew up in Alberta (where you're not allowed to call it cold until it hits -20).

I find Palermo disappointingly heavy, flat-tasting, and prone to mistakes, especially on their calzones. It makes me crazy that I can't find a calzone in the city to rival Coyote Creek in Kirkland. I shouldn't have to go to the eastside for something like that.

I'm sorry, but you lost me on the train of thought with nippley ...

And I agree, northern BC and Alberta get wicked cold even with the global warming that makes it possible to SWIM in Ottawa's Rideau Canal in JANUARY. It's not that cold, but us straight guys would love to hand-deliver hot cocoa (organic fair trade choco, of course) and warm you up ...
