Disney cartoon cast members are frequently treated like shit. Free Tigger!
"The one person who hasn't apologized is Tigger. He won't step up and be a man about it."
That sentence fucking made my day.
It seems pretty obvious to me that the kid is holding onto "Tigger", throwing him off kilter. In trying to recover his balance, Tigger throws his arm around and grazes the kid's face. And the kid does exactly the same thing for exactly the same reason. These are two people thrown off balance that have a clumsy moment together. What the fuck is their problem?
lolz all around.
After watching that video, am I the only person who wants to show that kid what a real punch feels like? Obviously Tigger was trying to get the dweeb to let go of him and his face got in the way. That family needs a one way trip into It's A Small World...
I'm with you #3 that was the mostest funniest thingest I've everscenest.
Honestly. What is the big deal, Tigger told me he was trying to breathe and the kid threw him off balance. I never seen a thing like that since I was reading a cartoon comic called Calvin and Hobbes.
Those guys are hillarious and this takes the cake.
The dad was even funnier.
That's not a punch! That's barely even a sissy slap. Good G-d, if he's that much of a pussy, he should know what a real punch feels like, since every day at school, he should be getting the shit knocked out of him.
I saw this on the news yesterday. That kid has a shit eating grin on his face the entire time the camera is rolling. Clearly he's doing something he knows he's not supposed to.
And if that's what he calls a punch then I suggest he wear that outfit on his WALK home and see if he still feels the same way.
Bullshit. Tigger totally grabbed the kid's left arm and tried to pull him down. He then laid a round-house left flush to the kid's face. Tigger's always been out of control, bouncing around on his tail, freaking out Pooh and Eeyore. it's time he gets what's coming to him.
i really hope tigger just clocked that asshole kid.
it's what he deserves for that damn fingerless glove and croaky frog voice. shit-eating grin, in deed.
This slog is killing me. Ha ha I've never laughed so hard as I am right now. Thanx Stranger you guys made my day again.
Team tigger vs hang tigger hilariuos
Ask anyone who's ever been inside a mascot or character costume, and you'd quickly find that: not only are the things hot, smelly, heavy and generally damned uncomfortable, but you can't see for shite through the teensy little eye holes or mesh visors, so it's always a delicate operation moving around in them, especially when you're supposed to be (like Tigger) exhibiting a fairly high degree of animation. Plus, people - not just kids - are always trying to pull shite on you, saying things, poking you, GRABBING YOUR TAIL, crap like that.
Sure, it's all part of the deal, you're supposed to take it, stay in character, not mess back when they mess with you, but sometimes, and this may indeed be one of those times, somebody just goes too far.
If you look very closely at the video, at about :10 - :11, you see the kid's hand clearly behind Tigger, who has quickly turned his head to the left - something's going on behind him, what could it be? Suddenly, Tigger puts the kid in an arm lock, turns toward him, and gives him a cuff on the side of the face. As Tigger turns, his tail comes into view on the left side (viewer's right) of the costume.
I will bet good money that our "innocent little victim" was engaged in attempting to pull Tigger's tail out by the roots, which not only was throwing him off balance, but perhaps made him feel like he was being pushed over the railing against which they were standing. In order to prevent falling backwards, and possibly seriously injuring him/herself, Tigger did what any normal person would do in such a situation, and made the kid stop yanking on his tail.
Of course, the video doesn't actually catch this, but from that shit-eating, Jim Carey "Dumb & Dumber" look on the kid's face he thinks he's getting away with something funny, not just smiling nice for the camera.
It's going to end up being a "he-said/he-said" situation, and knowing how sensitive management is to this kind of behavior on the part of their costumed employees, the kid is probably going to get away with it.
Which is too bad, because what he really needs is to be stuffed into a large, hot, sweaty, encumbering animal costume for five or six hours in a room full of sugar-hyped eight year-olds, and see how long his composure lasts.
The newscaster goes "Tigger can't talk"
of course he can't talk he's a tiger for cryin outloud.
Humans they crack me up like nuts.
I could almost maybe generate just a teeny tiny molecule of sympathy for the kid... if his dad wasn't such a monumental asshole.
It is entirely possible that the kid was doing something behind Tigger's back to aggravate him. Most kids that age would rather be skateboarding, playing video games, or getting high -- anything but spending a lame "family" afternoon at Disneyworld. But with a tool of a father like that, the kid will never admit to it in a hundred years.
You know that all that feigned angry tortured indignity is only a prelude to the inevitable lawsuit.
* barf *
If you ask me....I would have ate him.
Tiggers soft , I know, he's my cousin.
Come on, we all know that Tigger is the one animal in the Christopher Robin's backyard that would crack and attack someone. I mean would anyone think it would be Winnie the Pooh or Igore to finally go off????
It is now up to Owl to determine Tigger's fate......
Andrew, I always figured Eeyore as most likely to "go 40 acre" someday.
You know, it's always the shy, quiet ones...
Wow, I'm seeing this totally differently. I can give both sides benefit of the doubt. But, I'd like to see more of the actual video from were the news clip stops showing it.
I think the family is over reacting; a calmer approach would have garnered more sympathy from Stranger readers, and possibly more con$ideration from Disney.
I saw something like this in mad tv skit
Hang Tigger, the kid, and the dad, and my reasons why:
1. Tigger: did anyone else notice him fondling that 2 year old girl's chest at the beginning? Hang him!
2. The kid: That glove! That voice! That shit-eating grin! That punk! Hang him!
3. The dad: Jackass doesn't even know how to shoot video. Holds it crooked and cuts off Tigger's head. Hang him!
Well, his father is overprotective because the kid is such a pussy, which in turn makes the father a bigger douche and more protective and in turn makes the kid an even bigger pussy.
Vicious circle of the douchebag father and son.
A friend of mine once worked as a Chuck E. Cheese mascot and would take serious abuse from kids daily. His response was generally the iron-grip handshack during photo time untill the kid was near tears. Petty, but warranted.
Yet another video of when "Tigger Attacks."
Hey Squirell, Tigger can too talk. He says stuff all the times, like "spoonerifical" and "hungry." And Hobbes would stomp Tigger but quick.
Dad's a douchebag and son's a wanker who's probably in need of a real asskicking. The guy stuck inside the Tigger costume probably wasn't aiming for the kid's face but those costumes aren't built to enhance vision, and it doesn't take much to pull you off balance.
ANY CAN PLAINLY SEE THE TEEN BRAT WAS TRYING TO UNZIP THE TIGGER COSTUME AND INSTINCTIVELY TIGGER TURNED AROUND TO REMOVE BRAT'S HAND BUT WITH BULKY COSTUME ON IT BRUSHED HIS HEAD WHILE REACHING FOR THE BRATS HAND!!!
This video has brought back repressed memories from my own childhood trip to walt disney world. I was also assaulted by tigger. He beat me down and then winnie the pooh took a crap on my face. and then he made a racist remark to me and said "now you know why they call me the Pooh bear." Then piglet joined in and they all took turns beating me. This must stop now. Tigger can no longer be allowed to beat up innocent teenagers.
