C'mon, Jen, quit being an apologist for those fag lovers. We all know how gay friendly the federal government is. His position was carefuly chosen to create the right shadows. The sign was found at a flea market and is from pre-war Germany. Visually interesting, with strange text. Then the shadows at the lower right pull you back again. The image comes off as a quick snapshot, at first glance. Yet, it shares enough with the veiwer, and is of a technical quality that creates a mildly mesmerizing charm. Subtle, but there."

The Maida photos were definitely technically better than Samashima's work, but they were still boring and derivative.
