Welcome to the magic of Boney M, the earlier pop-disco version of Milli Vanilli. The singer on the records is the same German guy who made the Milli Vanilli records; like them, the folks in the picture were dancers, and barely involved. Fantastic stuff, never caught on in the USA.

One of my favorite moments in "Touching the Void" is when the stranded climber gets a Boney M song stuck in his head. He knows if he isn't rescued in the next few hours, he's gonna die. And Boney M will be the soundtrack to his death. Suffice to say, "Touching the Void" is just as scary as "The Descent."
