In a real city like Chicago you can ride rapid transit…
…and get your picture taken with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
... and watch Rexie get crushed by the hawks.
now that's a city.
She's gonna get choclate in her hair!
Just hope the Reeses doesn't punch her.
He's gonna get hair in his chocolate!
Damn boomer, you're right. that's much worse.
Here in Chicago, we also have the "FBI stop RAPING my WIFE" guy. Seattle does not.
Does this lady really need to show her love for Reese's? Shouldnt she be running a few laps around LSD instead of posing with the one responsible for her roundness? Looks like she swallows quite a bit of em Reese's. I hate having to pay higher insurance premiums because people are weak in the face of Reese's.
i never understood why people went on and on about chicago and how wonderful it is, blah blah blah.
then i went there.
god, it really is an amazing city. fuck new york, viva la chicago!
Sometimes the transit's not so rapid:
Why is the peanut butter cup on fire?
Chicago also has an urban population of somewhere around 4 million. While Seattle's is just over ½ m.
In addition, we don't have income tax that might allow for a more equitable arrangement of incoming monies for transit projects. Fuck increasing the sales tax more... tax the fucking rich.
(PS. I love Chicago and I love Seattle. Who should I root this weekend?)
I escaped from Chicago last April. Thank you for exposing my child's illegitimate father.
El Rider, Chicago's system may have problems, but at least they have a system, which is a hell of a lot more than what seattle's got.
My ex-BF lives in Chicago now and I have been out to see him a few times. I do LOVE that city!!! And I am really thinking about moving there but there are no mountians.......
i left chicago for no california and now i have to spend lots of quality time on a freeway to get anywhere. slow or not, its better to have a good system that runs late at night than one that doesnt really get you anywhre and stops running at midnight. its like being in high school with a curfew again (im talkin bout you BART)
I'm with you Dan, I've lived in Chicago all my life, and this city is pretty awesome. I like to think of it as a large progressive island in the middle of the country, full of great architecture, diverse culture, active nightlife, fantastic restaurants, and large snack treats roaming the city streets! Also, you gotta love a city that has a mayor who is pro gay marriage. Go Bears!!!!!!
I'll stick with Seattle.
The CTA is para-military organization that holds the residents of Chicago hostage...but at least it's somewhat efficent at moving people around a huge area. However, the re-construction of the Brown, Red and Purple lines will not be a picnic once they close one of 4 rail lines. Commute times should easily double if not triple starting this Spring.
