Chow Best Hot Dogs Ever

At the Tacoma Golden Gloves tournament last weekend. The lovely ladies at the snack bar at the Tacoma Boys & Girls Club served up the tastiest dogs I’ve had since I last ate at Ben’s Chili Bowl. Lightly charred, poking out of the ends of the bun, smothered in whatever you want. Mmmm.

I also recommend getting yourself to the next amateur boxing event you can find (like Sea Mar’s St. Valentine’s Day Massacre at the South Park Community Center on Feb. 17). You may just get lucky enough to watch this bruiser, Esequiel “Puppy” Sandoval.

wow. i want a ben's chili half smoke RIGHT NOW.
also, thanks for the local boxing tip. puppy power!
For an interesting pondering of the half-smoke: http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/display.php?id=561&navCenterTop
Puppy Power is NOW. I saw this kid training, and he's unbelievably fierce. I think he's maybe 12? He could take out most of the adults I know.
Also, are there other amateur boxing events, in the near future, that are closer than Tacoma?
Not much coming up in terms of tourneys, but I think there is some shows coming up at Sea Mar gym in Feb, which could be good or a dud.
These guys do a pretty good job of keeping the regional schedule:

The Jr. Gloves tourney at Tacoma was cool , it was a bummer that I couldn’t see more fights and T –town is not that far. I was late for this kid, but some of the kids from Tacoma's gym held their own. One particular kid won with just two punches a hook and a snappy little jab. I think the next big tourney for seniors is in Medford and the big Golden gloves regional tourney is in Idaho.
